The Panther King meets The Hornet Queenby =Ankoku-Sensei

There once was a mighty Princess, noble, loyal to her kingdom, and as beautiful as the petals on the blossoming trees. The princess of the HoneyCombs.

But, she was alone. Following her duties to no end. Her entire life, she searched for something to fill this gaping void in her heart.

She attempted to fill the void with friends but few takers. She tried love but she could not compare to the women of her kingdom.

All alone in her tower, she awaited a prince to rescue her from her impending fate.

Alone, she waited, years and years, before a word reached her ear. Word of a mighty king, the great cat, from a far away kingdom that was across a great dessert. And this king was declaring war on her kingdom.

In an attempt to avoid war, she called for her messengers to deliver this king a message:

" Come to my throne and declare your war. "

The king did not respond with words. He brought his army to the castle gate of this mighty princess to face the small woman with such towering words.

Believing she must be some ancient queen reaching her end to risk her kingdom so. But, when he set his eyes upon her, Hair as black as the blackest rose, eyes that shined of sharp silver, skin as pale as moonlight, so young yet she stood so strong.

She appeared so fragile, even her wings appeared to be made of such delicate paper.

" You are the queen of this land? " The king asked.

She stood so proper, speaking in a voice of soft iron." No. I am not. I am but the princess of this land."

In an instant, the king's rage left him.

" Declare your war." The princess boomed.

A feral grin appeared on this king's lips." No war. I propose a union of our lands."

The princess appeared confused.

The king turned to his men." We will not take this land by force. Instead, I shall make this little Bee my queen and unite our lands under my rule."

The men at his back cheered, no war would insue so long as the princess agreed to this compromise and these men could return to their wives.

The king turned to this princess and offered her his hand." How about it, Princess, you willing to risk the lives of your people and become a prisoner in your own castle? Or share my bed and remain a mighty icon to your people? "
The princess looked upon the king. Accepting this proposal meant she would lose her freedom and become the mother of his heirs. That thought occurs to her. Even if this mighty king were to take her throne, she would still sit upon it. She would become a queen, a mother, her loneliness would abandon her and she would never be alone.

The queen held out her hand to him in return." I add one stipulation to your proposal, great king. I shall not bow at your side. I will stand as your equal. Or this will be war."

The king let out a thunderous laugh." Such a fiery little wasp! You have a deal."
